MFL
To accommodate the needs taken holistically, it is considered advantageous to disapply students from the MfL National Curriculum. Sunnydown does however value MfL and cultural experiences and will offer creative opportunities to access a MfL throughout KS3 and beyond.
This comment will be added to the ‘Curriculum’ section of the EHCP under F - education Provision.
Students are offered the opportunity to access MFL through Spanish and French clubs. Some ASDAN lessons with KS4 students also involve learning about different cultures; this is also taking place in other subjects such as Geography, Art and Food Technology. Many members of staff are of different nationalities and this makes Sunnydown particularly inclusive.
